TENT OF DREAMS UPDATE 2025
By : Salam, on September 24, 2025
School reports are in!
We know that school’s about more than just exam scores, but we’re proud to share the results from our Lebanese Tent of Dreams.
Tent of Dreams
In Lebanon, 44% of refugee children don’t go to school*. We established Tent of Dreams to help them catch up on what they’ve missed.
What’s the idea? With qualified teachers and a ‘back to basics’ syllabus, the Tent of Dreams is designed to help refugee children brush up their skills so that they can return to regular education. They study Maths, English and Arabic. Their meals are provided and they have plenty of playtime, of course.
Who does it help? We have FIVE tents in Lebanese refugee camps. Each one has space for 30 children, which means we can educate 150 children per school year.
The results are in…
Our TOD pupils are smart and determined. Each year, we’re impressed by their commitment and progress – children can teach us something about resilience!
In their 2025 mid-term tests, the average results were:
- 11.6/20 (English)
- 11/20 (Maths)
- 9.4/20 (Arabic)
And the final tests showed big improvements across all 5 tents!
- 14.4/20 (English)
- 15.6/20 (Maths)
- 14.2/20 (Arabic)
Give children the gift of learning
We called it Tent of Dreams because it’s about letting children realise their potential and reach for their dreams.
In refugee camps, many children can’t get to school – but they want to! We’re reaching those children with this free programme, designed to give them the knowledge and confidence to continue with conventional education when they can.
Children deserve the opportunity to own their futures – which is why Tent of Dreams is so important.
