2025 Impact Report: Sustainable Change

Looking back at 2025: sustainable change

18,656 pupils supported in school or further education. 24,413 patients seen in our own health centres. 15 small businesses funded. Last year, your support enabled us to create real, lasting change for vulnerable people around the world.

The Impact Vocational Training Centre

In Bangladesh, a lot of children drop out of secondary school and struggle to get a good job. We’ve launched the Impact Vocational Centre to provide practical training and enable young people to pursue careers in computing, driving, or graphic design. The Centre has courses and resources to connect them with employers. This year it’s trained 2,376 students!

We’re funding primary schools too, with our Dream Schools funding programme now supporting a total of 16,280 young pupils.

Breast cancer screenings in Lebanon

Breast cancer causes around 670,000 deaths annually, but 30% of cases can be treated if the cancer is caught early.

Screening starts at just £30, but clinics are inaccessible or unaffordable for many people in Lebanon.

For the second year, we organised a breast cancer screening programme in Hasbaya Governmental Hospital. 160 women attended and 89 required secondary screening (ultrasound). We’ll cover costs of treatment for these patients to give them the best chance at recovery.

Tent of Dreams results

Tent of Dreams is our education project for refugees in Lebanon. Many children can’t get to school from their shelters, so we’re bringing school to them – in five tents! Each one accommodates 30 children and runs a catch-up curriculum to prep the kids for returning to school.

Our ToD project proves that these children can shine if they have the chance. In their mid-term tests, the average results were:

  • Mid-term results – English: 11.6 / 20
  • Mid-term results – Maths: 11 / 20
  • Mid-term results – Arabic: 9.4 / 20

At the end of term, their final test results showed how hard they’d worked:

  • Final results – English: 14.4 / 20
  • Final results – Maths: 15.6
  • Final results – Arabic: 14.2

Essential healthcare in Lebanon

Lebanon has a large refugee population, and we provide a lot of essential aid here, including sponsorships for 209 orphaned children.

It’s estimated that around 85% of healthcare costs are charged to patients, which means that many millions of people can’t afford the treatment they need.

That’s why our Shifa Clinic is such an important project. This healthcare centre is fully funded by Salam Charity. It’s equipped with modern facilities and staffed by professionals, including a driver to collect patients with transport difficulties. In the last year it’s treated 13,997 patients

Small business support in Uganda

We’re increasing our scope in Uganda and have taken volunteers on deployment in 2025. Along the way, we’ve met many people who are struggling against disability, poverty or hunger – without losing sight of hope or ambition. So we’ve started to provide small needs-based grants to entrepreneurs in Uganda.

On our last deployment we met two families who depend on fishing for an income, and provided brand new fishing boats to both.
