At Salam Charity we transform lives in rural communities, by building wells to provide clean water, improving health, and elevating hygiene standards for a better tomorrow.
We provide a variety of water wells:
Deep Water Well:
Our deep water wells are engineered to tap into underground water sources, providing a reliable and sustainable source of water. These wells are drilled between 15ft - 200ft based on location and have a minimum of 10 years life expectancy. With proper community care and maintenance, some wells can last up to 30 years.
Each day, each well can serve a minimum of 200 people in small communities and up to 1000 people in large communities.
Electric/Solar Powered Water Well:
Our electric water wells utilise modern pumping technology powered by electricity to draw water from underground reservoirs. Whilst our solar-powered water wells provide sustainable and eco-friendly solutions to water scarcity. Equipped with solar panels, these wells utilise solar energy to operate pumping systems for water extraction.
The depth of these wells varies between 50ft - 250ft based on location. In locations such as Bangladesh, in order to reach safe drinking water, the depth of the well may reach up to 500ft. These wells are designed for long-term functionality, with proper maintenance and care, life expectancy ranges between 15 to 25 years.
The range of beneficiaries varies, providing sustainable access to clean water for approximately 500 to 2000 people daily, depending on the specific location and community needs.
Shadoof (Bucket) Water Well:
Our shadoof water wells, often referred to as bucket wells, are traditional and simple solutions for accessing groundwater close to the surface. Once the well is dug, a bucket or similar container is used to manually draw water to the surface.
The depth of the water well varies from 15ft to 200 ft based on location, whilst the life expectancy of a water well is a minimum of 10 years and can last up to 30 years when taken care of.
Each day each water well serves a minimum of 200 people in a small community and up to 1,000 people in larger communities.
