An Adventure with Purpose

Join Salam Charity on an unforgettable Sea to Summit adventure – a powerful challenge that takes you across land, water and mountain, while helping transform lives across the world.

From the rugged Welsh coastline to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), this incredible journey is about more than personal achievement. Every mile you cycle, every step you climb, and every stroke you paddle helps Salam Charity continue its vital work supporting vulnerable communities worldwide.

By taking part, you’re standing in solidarity with families facing poverty, crisis and hardship – and helping deliver hope, dignity and opportunity where it’s needed most.

About the Challenge: Sea to Summit

This exciting adventure takes you literally from Sea to Summit, tackling all terrains across the wild beauty of North Wales.

Starting in Caernarfon on the Menai Strait, opposite Anglesey, you’ll cycle, trek and kayak through the epic Snowdonia landscape before standing on the highest peak in England & Wales – Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) at 1,085m.

You don’t need to be a professional athlete to take part – just bring an adventurous spirit and a willingness to challenge yourself for an incredible cause. This is a supportive, fully-guided experience designed to inspire confidence, connection and achievement.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival
Arrive in Caernarfon in the late afternoon and settle into your hotel. Meet your fellow challengers and the expert team for a full briefing, preparing you for the journey ahead.

Enjoy the evening at your leisure, exploring the town or relaxing before a good night’s sleep. Dinner not included.

Day 2 – Challenge Day
After an early start and energising breakfast, you’ll familiarise yourself with your bike and complete a final safety briefing before setting off.

Cycle (10 miles / 16km – 1–1.5 hours)
Pedal from the picturesque coastline past historic Caernarfon Castle, through rolling countryside and quaint villages, with Snowdon rising in the distance. Much of the route follows traffic-free paths as you enter Snowdonia National Park.

Trek (9 miles – 4–6 hours)
Swap bikes for boots and begin your ascent of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) via the quieter Snowdon Ranger Path. This stunning route winds through farmland, past tranquil lakes, and along ridgelines to the summit. Take time at the top to celebrate, reflect, and capture the moment.

Kayak (2–2.5 miles – 1–2 hours)
Descend to Llanberis and finish with a kayaking circuit of Llyn Padarn in two-person sit-on kayaks – the perfect finale to an epic day.

Cross the finish line and celebrate an achievement that will have a lasting impact far beyond the mountains of Wales.
