In 2025, the team met and helped lots of families living in Uganda, gifting them with beds, baby supplies, and even sewing machines – and had so much fun along the way. Watch their film of the trip to see their best and most moving moments.

Here’s the brief on this 1-week deployment:

• It’s a fully accompanied, small group trip – Salam Charity staff will be with you all the way. Your flights and hotel accommodation are covered in the registration fee.
• There will be a packed itinerary as you help the team to distribute food and hygiene parcels, cash and other aid. You’ll get to see projects that are finished or in progress and witness your donations making a difference.
• You’ll need to raise £5,000 to join the trip. We will provide ideas and support to help you smash your fundraising target!
• You need to be over 18 and in good physical health to join the group – if you have any questions about that bit, drop us a message before signing up.
